Bio

I’m Katie Jones, a content strategist with experience in brand management and user-centered design.

I’ve spent the last decade in digital content roles in mission-driven organizations, bringing my storytelling sensibility to public radio, an order of Catholic nuns, a homeless services agency, and a university. See the resume for the play-by-play. Roles have varied (with progressive responsibility at ever-larger institutions) but the heart of the work has been pretty consistent: I write, plan, and design digital experiences for social impact.

Newer to my toolkit are user experience skills in UX design, ethnography, generative and evaluative user research, and design thinking. These I’ve picked up in UC Irvine’s Master of Human-Computer Interaction and Design program.

I work at Loyola Marymount University, where I oversee brand strategy and university-wide alignment with brand standards. On the side, I volunteer as a leader of a student community service organization at LMU.

Look for me on Medium or LinkedIn, or send me an old-fashioned email.
